This year, United Way of Mason County awarded Western Land Services the “We Lift Our Community Award” for its contributions towards last year’s United Way Campaign. It is a great honor to be recognized for helping support our local communities in times of need. Similar to last year, WLS will be matching 100% of employee donations raised during this holiday season. However, to up the ante this year, our President Shawn Fields has challenged team WLS: if WLS can corporately achieve a 40% participation rate by our employees, he will either dye his hair or shave his head, per their choosing! 2020 has been especially difficult for many families and we encourage everyone to help in any way they are able. WLS Innovation Initiative

It’s employee ownership month and we’d like to take the opportunity to recognize our very own Ben Smolinski for his contributions! Western Land Services COVID-19 Response


Dear Clients, Friends and Partners,

The Western family has watched as many in our industry have been increasingly impacted by COVID-19, and first wish to extend our thoughts and prayers to your respective team members that may be personally impacted during this time.

An increasing number of states, counties, and municipalities, along with the Federal government, have passed laws and issued orders that have and will have an impact on our offices and business.  We want to assure you that Western is taking these laws and orders seriously and are working to ensure complete compliance with them in our various offices around the country.

Our staff has been encouraged to work remotely where they can.  Where we need to be at our offices or in the field to stay on top of our projects and are legally allowed to do so, we are requiring compliance with the CDC recommendations regarding the safeguards associated with COVID-19.  Those employees working remotely are fully accessible and available to you as always via phone, email, and any other forms of communication necessary to get the job done.  Our team is very seasoned and has a long track record of working the phones aggressively to acquire leases, rights of way, or curative instruments to help control costs for our clients, so we are ready to take on COVID-19 and stay impactful for our clients.  Finally, our back office team of professionals are in place to handle the processing of all payments, signed documents, invoices or other matters needing attention.

We are also monitoring closely all government office closures, national and local laws or orders as they are released, and we promise to keep our clients informed of any events impacting our ability to meet deadlines or cause delays in the execution of our work.
