I work primarily with Sue Martin and I can honestly say that working with her is a joy. She is the consummate professional. The product she delivers is without a doubt the best I have seen in my career. The very few times I have had a question, Sue responds immediately and gets the answer. Even the few times I have asked for things, which I am sure is outside of her day to day duties, she has come through for me. Sue is a great representative for your company. When the gas industry came to Carroll County, Ohio several years ago, my notary duties picked up rapidly. I did many leases with representatives, and I watched and listened to how their employees dealt with our local residents. To be very blunt, some of them needed a good lesson on manners and how to treat ‘the common folks.’

Nathan Stewart and I met when I notarized documents for a couple about 2 months ago. What a refreshing change to meet up with a land man who knows how to be patient, kind and how to show respect. He and I went into an Amish home together and he was fantastic with them. With another couple, you could tell the husband was hesitant, and Nathan was calm, and explained every question this young couple had. The easy-going manner Nathan has is just what we need around here. I hope we can keep him in our area, and I really hope you can find many more employees with the qualities Nathan owns.

“At the very first meeting with the group, Tom was very friendly and yet professional.”

My mother, who is 92 years old, has been working with one of your representative, Tom Seroczynski, who on your behalf, has been leasing oil rights in the Central Michigan area. Because of my mother’s age, she asked me to do the “leg-work” for her, and because it’s my mother, I wanted to make sure that everything was done right. There is a lot of family that were involved in the properties that were to be leased, so we organized, along with some of the neighbors, did our research, and talked to Tom as a group. At the very first meeting with the group, Tom was very friendly and yet professional. He explained the process, what the expected outcome out be, and then answered our questions. It was a “you against us” relationship at first, but as Tom began to answer questions, I could feel the group become more at ease. Some of the questions raised were tough, I felt, but necessary, and Tom stated the facts, yet he also explained what your company could and couldn’t do in a way that seemed reasonable and made sense. In fact, over the long drawn-out process, I marveled at his patience and understanding as well as his knowledge of the business. We also contacted our friends who had been working with your company in the Fork Field, near Barrytown; they also said that if Tom says it, you can trust it. They said that Tom has been honest, friendly, easy to work with, and he dealt with any concerns quickly. I wanted to let you know that in the process of signing the oil leases, as a group we all felt that Tom represented your company fairly, and with a great understanding of our concerns. Tom even drove to Reed City to help my mother’s lawyer explain some of the concerns she still had. This is just another example of his wanting to make sure that my mother was comfortable with the process and the possible outcome. In every instance, Tom Seroczynski told us exactly what was possible, what was probably not possible, and we all knew that he was an up-front guy. With the make-up of the group, I don’t think anyone else could have accomplished what he did. What started out as a “you against us” kind of attitude turned into a cooperative venture that will, in the long run, benefit both your company and us.

His name is John Williamson, from the start of the project he did on my property and through the completion he has been there for me. I understand that John is employed by Western Land Services and works for the gas transmission company but never disregarded my or my families concerns. When I would contact him with a question, John would always get back with me in a timely manner. Many changes to the original gas line run took place before the route was finalized and without John’s communication skills and patience, this project would not have involved my property. The project is complete now and John is at the job elsewhere but still remains in contact with my family. In the end ,the gas line is in service and my family found a friend in John.
